On our first full day, we had reservations at 8:00am for the Economy Tour of Hell's Revenge with Dan Mick's Guided Jeep Tours. Hell's Revenge is an off-road trail located in Sand Flats Recreation Area. We were fortunate to have Richard, the son of Dan Mick, as our tour guide. Richard's father, Dan, is the pioneer of this trail and many others in the area, and he still does tours with the company. Our tour was 90 minutes and needless to say, I had some white knuckles throughout the experience. Richard guided the jeep through many obstacles including climbs and descents through Mickey's Hote Tub, Escalator, and Tip Over Challenge. There were instances where I was thinking to myself, “he’s about to go there!” I tell you, I don’t know how they maneuver these jeeps in some of the places Richard took us! Check out You Tube for videos of folks taking this tour and here is a link to the tour company: https://www.danmick.com/. This tour is definitely worth it if you are looking something exhilarating to do on your trip, something unique that you really can't do anywhere else!

After our Hell's Revenge experience, we drove over to Moonflower Canyon down Kane Creek Road. This is a 3-mile road off Main Street in Moab. I understand that Funnel Arch is down this road, but we did not take the time to explore. We wanted to see the petroglyph panel known as "The Birthing Scene." After the 3-mile paved road ends, drive about 1-2 miles on the gravel road, and this boulder will be on the right. Get out and look at the boulder as there is rock art on all four sides. The birthing scene is found in the left-hand corner of the east side. There are other formations on the boulder, but this is the most popular.
Our next stop was at the Mill Canyon Dinosaur Track Site just a few miles out of town past Arches National Park. This site has 15 points of interest, and you can see the dinosaur fossils in the layers of rock. There is a boardwalk-type trail through this site with informative panels explaining what each fossil is. My husband really thought it was interesting at the number of fossils that has been discovered in this area. This is a quick stop. https://www.blm.gov/visit/mill-canyon-dinosaur-bone-and-track-interpretive-sites
